Who is NPC?

The Niagara Power Coalition (NPC) is a local alliance that was formed to work with the elected officials and representatives of the U.S. Federal Government and NY State Government in dealing with the New York State Power Authority (NYPA) and the relicensing of its Niagara Power Project in Niagara County.

Our Goal is to implement and administer the Host Community Relicensing Settlement Agreement among NPC, its members, and NYPA.

Host Community Standing Committee

The Host Community Relicensing Settlement Agreement resulted from the relicensing of the Niagara Power Project and provides for the establishment of the Host Community Standing Committee (HCSC).

Comprised of seven members from NPC and NYPA, our purpose is to select and to oversee projects financed by the Greenway Recreation/Tourism Fund.
